Usage Policy
This usage policy is applicable to all customers of Warped Communications, Inc. Warped requires that you obey common courtesy usage requirements such as what an average user would require of our -web hosting- service. The average user resource usage and requirements are calculated by the number of users on the server by the maximum amount of available disk, cpu, memory, and bandwidth. If you have questions, ask our HELPDESK. We are doing this in our belief of fairness to all users, and not restrict to specific quotas that make it difficult to explain. Warped is NOT a backup service, and you should not upload all of the files on your desktop or laptop to the site for storage. ALL files on the webserver need to be made available as part of your website. Keep in mind that we do not allow large file transfer websites in either number of files, or size of files. Any files that are not found linked to pages or violate this usage policy are fair game to be deleted. You are on a shared server, and as such, excessive and persistant maximum usage will cause your account to be terminated or throttled. Should your site be hammered by popular search aggregators, we will offload your traffic onto additional servers to mitigate the overload at no extra charge to you. We will notify you through your contact information should there be any problems. Warped Communications reserves the right to perform modifications to your service to prevent other customers from being denied services. Should your site be the victim of a distributed denial of service attack, we will do what is necessary to preserve the system until it stops. Users also should be aware that you are not allowed to spam in any way, shape or form from your site or through our servers. You are not allowed to run mailing lists through our servers without express permission. You are not allowed to host exploits or exploited sites. You are not allowed to host or distribute files that are illegal (such as child pornography, or material for which you are not the copyright owner or do not have permission of the copyright holder to distribute) in the United States of America. You are not allowed to perform any sort of cracking, hacking, or other illicit activities against the security of our system or other systems from ours. Should you break any of these rules, your account will be terminated with no refund. We will cooperate fully with any law enforcement agency over illegal activities. The foregoing policies are effective as of October 1st, 2008. Warped Communications reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying users of the existence of a new usage statement.
